Cabrella’s Fraud Identification Success Story

When a DBNR claim (a claim where tracking shows the package as delivered but recipient claims non-receipt) surfaced involving a customer, our collaboration with a carrier’s security uncovered a fraudulent shipment.

By scrutinizing the details, we determined that the label had been tampered with to reroute the package to a complex facility in Texas, making retrieval nearly impossible. This suspicious package, originating from a carrier dropbox in North Carolina, showed signs of manipulation.

Forensic analyses of the driver’s license and drop-off receipt provided by the customer revealed clear alterations to the images.

Further examination by the carrier’s security highlighted discrepancies: the location code did not match the New York City facility as claimed but pointed to a Colorado site, and the employee number on the receipt was nonexistent in the carrier’s system.

These findings exposed a deliberate attempt to deceive. This success story illustrates our dedication to identifying and preventing fraud, saving our client a significant $7,400. Join us in our commitment to transparency and security in every transaction.
